Introducing Home E. Bear 

Introducing Home E. Bear, better known as “Homey”. Homey is Gammon Realty’s official mascot. Homey arrived at Gammon Realty January 24, 2003 and has been very busy ever since. Homey wears an elegant green waistcoat and is always smiling. He is extremely popular with the kids and is always looking for good causes in which to participate.

Gammon Realty staff and agents are very community minded and volunteer for a number of good causes. Homey is a regular participant in these events. Homey has been seen participating with his Gammon Realty colleagues in “Homeward Bound”, an annual walk to benefit the homeless. Likewise Homey has participated in the “Race for the Cure”. He has been “locked up for good” to raise money for MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association), has presented money raised by Gammon Realty on the Easter Seals telethon and has been a frequent visitor to the Rehabilitation Center, where he has been a huge hit with the staff and kids. Gammon Realty volunteers to staff the Ritzy’s Fantasy of Lights at Garvin Park every year. Homey Bear is always on hand for this event.

Homey loves parties too. He always shows up at the company picnic and Christmas parties. He has been known to show up at staff meetings, open houses and other company events. Homey was at the Evansville Museum of Arts & Science to join in the festivities and to celebrate its 100^th anniversary. Recently Homey was an honored guest at an event held at CMOE (Children’s Museum of Evansville).

Homey’s favorite treat is peanut butter cookies.  He also loves Marmite. His favorite football team is Chicago, “da Bears”. Favorite baseball team is of course the Cubs. Homey’s all time favorite song is, to know him is to love him, by The Teddy Bears (who else).

Among Homey's many friends are Paddington Bear who lives in London and also loves Marmite.

One of Homey's many heros is Smokey Bear.  Smokey put out many public service announcements in the 1960s 70s and 80s including the following:
